A glossary tooltip is a short explanation on the word itself. The reader meets “webhook” in a pricing paragraph and can see what you mean without opening a help center.
Where they help
They help most where a visitor is deciding: a pricing table, a plan comparison, a feature list. Those pages are full of words the team uses every day and the buyer may not, such as SSO, seats, SLA, or audit log. A visitor who does not know one of them rarely asks. They guess, or they leave.
Picking the words
Pick the words by reading the page as a newcomer. Choose the ones a buyer needs to understand to pick a plan, not every technical term. Keep each explanation to one or two sentences, in plain words, and say what it means for them, not how it works inside.
How Knosite does it
Knosite’s version is called Smart Terms, and it works on any site. You, or an AI agent, pick words from the pages you already have. A dotted underline is the only change to the layout. A tap opens a short card. The tap does not use an AI message. Nothing goes live until you confirm it.
The same setup can add a help tip beside a section, and a one-to-three question survey. The chat answers longer questions from the site. And each lead shows which words that visitor tapped, so you learn what confused the people who were close to buying.
Engage covers terms, tips, and surveys. Setup for the chat is on Features.
Knosite answers your visitors from your own pages and tells you who is ready to buy, and why.
